Hachinohe, wharf to coast to home 8x10 in transfer watercolor 2006
Like the last this was made in 2006 after another trip back to Japan where I used to be stationed in the military. I loved Hachinohe, I loved the coast, and just about everything else in Japan.
I made so many transfers and prints after coming home, I had a contract with the Japanese interior to restore some work from Shiba and Osaka, and in return I had free reign of travel.
Looks like a beautiful place. I love the vintage look of the photograph.. the grain and the washed out colors... it'll be timeless for sure. Awesome work.
